How we collect, use and protect your data

Last updated: July 2026

Important note: This policy is a preliminary template describing our current data practices. It should be reviewed and formally approved by legal counsel, with the appropriate legal entity and jurisdiction identified, before final adoption.

At Course Student, we are committed to protecting our users’ privacy and data. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use and protect it.

1. Data we collect

  • Account data: name, email address and phone number.
  • Files you upload: profile image, files or documents, such as a CV submitted with a teacher application.
  • Basic usage data needed to operate and improve the service.

2. How we use your data

We use your data to create and manage your account, communicate with you, provide lessons and quizzes, track your progress and improve service quality. We do not use your data for purposes unrelated to operating the platform.

3. Sharing data with third parties

We use trusted service providers solely to operate the platform, including a content delivery network for video and file hosting and ZeptoMail for email delivery. We do not sell or trade your data to any party.

4. Cookies and local storage

We use your browser’s local storage only to preserve your signed-in session; we do not use it for advertising tracking.

5. Data security

Passwords are stored in a non-readable encrypted form, and sign-in is secured with verified tokens. We take reasonable measures to protect your data from unauthorized access.

6. Data retention and your rights

We retain your data while you use the platform. You may contact our team to request access to, correction of or deletion of your data.

7. Children’s privacy

If a user is below the legal age, use of the platform requires a parent or guardian’s supervision and consent.
